Refund Policy

At Clear Presence, we strive to provide exceptional makeup services and customer satisfaction. We understand that circumstances may arise that require changes to your booking. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds.

1. Refund Policy Overview

Our refund policy has been designed to be fair to both our clients and our professional makeup artists, who reserve their time and prepare specifically for your appointment. Please read and understand this policy before making a booking with us.

2. Deposits and Payment

2.1 Standard Bookings

For most services, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure your appointment date and time. The remaining balance is due on the day of service before the makeup application begins.

2.2 Wedding Bookings

For bridal and wedding party bookings:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date
  • The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding date
  • For bookings made less than 7 days before the wedding date, full payment is required at the time of booking

2.3 Group Workshops and Special Events

For group workshops and special events:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking
  • The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the event

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Standard Services Cancellation

For individual makeup services (excluding bridal services):

  • Cancellations made 14+ days before the appointment: Full refund of deposit
  • Cancellations made 7-13 days before the appointment: 50% refund of deposit
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the appointment: No refund of deposit

3.2 Bridal and Wedding Party Cancellation

For bridal and wedding party bookings:

  • Cancellations made 60+ days before the wedding date: 50% refund of deposit
  • Cancellations made 30-59 days before the wedding date: 25% refund of deposit
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the wedding date: No refund

3.3 Group Workshops and Special Events Cancellation

For group workshops and special events:

  • Cancellations made 30+ days before the event: 75% refund of deposit
  • Cancellations made 14-29 days before the event: 50% refund of deposit
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event: No refund

4. Rescheduling Policy

4.1 Standard Services Rescheduling

For individual makeup services (excluding bridal services):

  • Rescheduling requests made 14+ days before the appointment: No fee
  • Rescheduling requests made 7-13 days before the appointment: £25 rescheduling fee
  • Rescheduling requests made less than 7 days before the appointment: 50% of the deposit will be retained as a rescheduling fee

All rescheduled appointments are subject to availability. If we cannot accommodate your requested new date, our standard cancellation policy will apply.

4.2 Bridal and Wedding Party Rescheduling

For bridal and wedding party bookings:

  • Rescheduling requests made 60+ days before the wedding date: No fee, subject to availability
  • Rescheduling requests made 30-59 days before the wedding date: 25% of the deposit will be retained as a rescheduling fee
  • Rescheduling requests made less than 30 days before the wedding date: 50% of the deposit will be retained as a rescheduling fee

Please note that rescheduled wedding dates are subject to our availability. If we are unable to accommodate your new date, our standard cancellation policy will apply.

4.3 Group Workshops and Special Events Rescheduling

For group workshops and special events:

  • Rescheduling requests made 30+ days before the event: No fee, subject to availability
  • Rescheduling requests made 14-29 days before the event: 25% of the deposit will be retained as a rescheduling fee
  • Rescheduling requests made less than 14 days before the event: 50% of the deposit will be retained as a rescheduling fee

5. Conditions for Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:

  • Cancellation within the timeframes specified in our cancellation policy
  • Service cancellation by Clear Presence due to unforeseen circumstances (full refund provided)
  • Significant service issues that cannot be resolved to the client's satisfaction, at the discretion of Clear Presence management

6. Refund Process and Timeframe

When a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible
  • Credit card refunds typically process within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer
  • Bank transfer refunds typically process within 3-5 business days
  • You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been processed

7. Exceptions to the Refund Policy

7.1 Illness or Emergency

In cases of documented serious illness or emergency, we may make exceptions to our standard cancellation policy at our discretion. Supporting documentation may be required.

7.2 Service Provider Cancellation

If we need to cancel your appointment due to artist illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances:

  • We will make every effort to find a suitable replacement artist
  • If no replacement is available and we must cancel the service, you will receive a full refund of any payments made
  • If possible, we will offer priority rescheduling for your convenience

7.3 Natural Disasters and Extreme Weather

In the event of severe weather conditions or natural disasters that make it unsafe to travel or provide services:

  • We will work with you to reschedule your appointment without additional fees
  • If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided

8. Gift Certificates and Prepaid Services

  • Gift certificates and prepaid services are non-refundable but are transferable to another person
  • Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
  • Expired gift certificates may be honored at our discretion, potentially with additional fees
